Barney

Barney is a handsome 6-year-old Staffy cross who is looking for a loving new home following the sad death of his owner.
Barney is a friendly, affectionate boy who absolutely loves people and thrives on human attention. He enjoys getting out and about for his walks and would make a lovely companion for someone who can give him the time, affection and guidance he deserves.

Barney can be strong on the lead, so his new family will need to be comfortable managing a strong, enthusiastic dog. He is perfectly manageable on his walks and enjoys exploring his surroundings.

While Barney has shown some reactivity towards other dogs in the kennel environment, his behaviour out on walks has been more positive. He will show an interest in other dogs, but as long as he is given enough space and isn’t allowed to get too close, he has not been reactive. His new owners will need to continue being mindful of his space and help him have calm, positive experiences around other dogs.

Above all, Barney is a loving, people-oriented boy who has been through a big change in his life. He is now looking for someone who can offer him a secure, happy home where he can settle in, enjoy his walks and receive plenty of the attention he loves.
