Ben

Ben is an 8 month old Jack Russell type pup who is full of beans. He’s still very puppy like in behaviour and needs an experienced terrier owner who is around a lot of the time and with lots of time to train him. He’s a loveable little fellow and very active – when fully grown he will be able to walk for miles and miles! He does seem to be dog friendly and has met dogs when out and about and was very happy around them. However, if a dog growls at him, he will stand his ground and not back down! He has already shown a high prey drive and as will be typical for his breed cannot be rehomed where there are any cats or small furries.

Ben is nearly house trained but this may need a little more work in a new environment. Ben loves his toys and likes his own space to enjoy playing with them. He doesn’t like being disturbed when he is comfy and warm. For this reason we would be looking for a home for Ben where any resident children were over 10 years of age. Ben’s ideal home would be where he can enjoy the company of another dog and with an owner who will not leave him for long lengths of time. At present he can be left a couple of hours without any issues and he is not destructive when left.

However, he can be vocal when he is left in one room and he knows his human is another! He will certainly let you know that he wants your company! His lovely fosterer has taken Ben to cafes and he has been very well behaved and calm. Ben will make a great companion for a lucky person. Please note that we are likely to get a high volume of applications for Ben so please bear with us whilst we review these.
