Meet Ben – our Boxer/Staffie cross looking for his forever home.
Ben is a young lad of around three years old who hasn’t had the easiest start. Through no fault of his own, he’s found himself in our kennels twice already. He struggles in kennels and exhibits some of the bad habits he has picked up in his previous home.
Ben has spent plenty of time in a volunteer’s home, and he settles beautifully. He relaxes quickly and starts to exhibit the great dog he can be with the right level of structure and training. He loves human and wants to please and be rewarded. He enjoys a game of ball in the garden and definitely enjoys cuddling with humans.
He is reactive to dogs walking in and out of the kennels but isn’t reactive outdoors on a walk. We feel Ben is dog friendly, but would need careful introductions. On the lead he can be protective of his handler and we know this can be improved with correct training. Overall he walks well on the lead and we know he has had some previous training in this area.
Ben will make a great companion for the right person who is prepared to continue his training and provide him with structure and discipline as well as affection.

To adopt Ben please complete an Adoption Application form and we will be in touch.
