Benny

Benny is a four-year-old French Bulldog who came to us as an unclaimed stray from the pound. He’s currently thriving in foster care, living alongside two other dogs, and showing more of his sweet, funny personality every day.

He’s friendly with everyone he meets and isn’t shy about telling you when he wants something — he’ll bark, and he can be quite persistent about it. Which leads nicely to his other quirky habits that make him rather endearing:

  • Once he’s eaten, he loves to play chase with his bowl.
  • He’s a big fan of ragging broomsticks.

He can get jealous of the other dogs he lives with, which may lead to reactive moments — but this is already improving with training, which is why we recommend he be an only dog.

Benny loves his walks and gets very excited heading out, and he can pull a little, but due to his size, he’s easily managed.

  • Toilet trained, as you’d expect for a dog his age.
  • Decent recall, but best used once he’s fully settled and bonded with his new family.
  • Responds well to structure, routine, and positive reinforcement.

Benny needs to be with someone home most of the day. A patient adopter who can continue his training. A family who enjoys a dog with character, comedy, and affection, a sidekick who’ll become your shadow and your best friend.
