Clyde is new to Homeless Hounds and is under assessment, you can still apply for Clyde but be aware at this stage we don’t know what type of home he requires, thank you.
Clyde is a 6 year old German hunting dog. He is very uncertain when he first meets new people and will come over as rather aloof. However, after spending about 10 minutes on a walk he soon comes round and will accept being stroked and a bit of a fuss. Once he knows you, Clyde is your best friend and is eager to get all your attention.
Clyde loves his walks and can initially pull fairly strongly on the lead but he soon settles down and walks nicely. He is non reactive to any dogs he sees on walks and doesn’t show much enthusiasm to meet them. At this early stage therefore we feel he is best as the only dog in the home.
As is to be expected Clyde is prey orientated and gets very excited at the sight of birds hopping around in the undergrowth! We don’t think he could live with cats or small furries.
Clyde will need time to settle in to any new home and may need gradual introductions to any visitors to the home.
We think he is best in a home where any resident children are older.

To adopt Clyde, please complete an Adoption Application form and we will be in touch.
Please note that Homeless Hounds welcomes applications from Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under 5 years old.
Thank you
