Kenji is new to Homeless Hounds & is under assessment. You can still apply for Kenji but be aware at this stage we don’t know what type of home he will require.
Kenji is our Malinois X Husky. Kenji is a very friendly happy boy when out on a walk or in a dog field. However when passing certain other dogs he will pull strongly to be with them. He does not bark or mouth, he just pulls very strongly. Kenji will need a reasonably strong owner who is willing to work with him and train him with this behaviour. With the right effort and training Kenji will make a great companion.
Kenji knows the commands sit and paw and has good recall when out in the secure dog fields. He travels well in the car. He has clearly been a trained and loved pet at some point in his life. He loves a cuddle and a tummy rub and is very responsive to all and any treats that exist.
Once you gain his trust he is a loving dog, and he has demonstrated a high intelligence with ability to be trained with treat rewards.

To adopt Kenji, please complete an Adoption Application form and we will be in touch.
Please note that Homeless Hounds welcomes applications from Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under 5 years old.
Thank you
