Larry

Larry is new to Homeless Hounds & is under assessment. You can still apply for this handsome boy but be aware at this stage we don’t know what type of home he will require.

Larry is very lovable 5-6 year old lurcher boy. He is very sociable and loves every human he meets. He is already a firm favourite at the vets. When he was collected after being neutered and having 3 teeth removed his tail was wagging even though he must have been bewildered. The staff in the vets surgery love him and he had apparently been rolling on his back before the op and having his tummy tickled.

He walks well on the lead and appears to be non reactive to other dogs. On his walks he has been walked near other dogs and ignored them as he is more focussed on his beloved human! He likes to stop on his walks for a cuddle which he loves… he especially likes being rubbed around his neck – he closes his eyes then and very nearly falls asleep!

He loves treats & praise and doesn’t appear to have any issues around food.

He can be very lively and will jump up in enthusiasm when he gets visitors to his kennel but it’s all very good natured. We think he could be a secret counter surfer given the chance – he was recently spotted reaching up to shelving above his sleeping area in his kennel and pulling all the spare blankets down in to his bed!
