Maya is an 8 year old super friendly French Bull Dog. She has been lucky enough to bag herself a wonderful foster home and has settled in well. Maya is the prefect mix of being energetic enough to enjoy a decent walk but loves nothing more than a snuggle on the sofa with her favourite person at the end of the day. She waits to be invited on to the sofa and likes to have a blanket on her seat to snuggle into. Maya loves her food and her favourite treats are hot dogs and cheese.
Maya sleeps in her crate with the door open in her foster home but is equally happy to sleep in a bed when on her holidays! Maya is non destructive and doesn’t really play with toys but she does keep her chew at a safe place at the top of the stairs, just in case she needs it later! She sleeps in the kitchen diner and sleeps through the night but as soon as she hears movement in the morning, she is desperate to see who is up and say hello. Maya loves all humans and everyone who comes to the house is her friend. She is good with children. Her favourite hobbies are doing zoomies in the garden. She can be a little excitable in the car but soon calms down as the journey gets going. She is a little too interested in cats to be considered cat friendly and also takes a keen interest in our guinea pigs. We think she’s best rehomed where there are no small furries.
Maya can be left for 4-5 hours at a time but no longer and is non destructive. Whilst Maya has lived with other dogs in the past, she is best as the only dog in the home. She is reactive to other dogs when on her walks and is very vocal when she sees other dogs. We think that she would benefit from some training to help her in this respect. However as soon as she passes the dog she resumes walking well on her lead and likes to trot in front. Maya hates the rain so is a fair weather walker only! Maya is a lovely little dog and will be a fabulous pet for someone with the time to do some training with her to help her with her reactivity to other dogs.
