Molly

Molly is an 8 year old shihtsu who has come in to us through no fault of her own. She is currently in a foster home and this is what her foster mum has told us about her.

Molly is very loving with humans and loves to welcome everyone in the home. She is very good with the fosterer’s grandchildren who are 11 and 15 years old. She has seemed to gravitate more to the female in the house and will sit and wait patiently until her mum returns from work.

However Molly does have a stubborn side and will dig her heels in if she is required to do something she doesn’t want to do! If she doesn’t want to be picked up she will growl and if you continue she can snap. Any applicants must bear in mind this behaviour trait before applying.

Outside the house Molly can be reactive to dogs she meets on her walks as she will bark at them but this is being contained by Molly being asked to sit and wait calmly for the dog to pass with plenty of praise being given to her. Her fosterer reports that this behaviour seems to be diminishing so any applicant must be willing to continue with Molly’s socialisation.

She sleeps well in her own crate upstairs near to her foster mum and is house trained.
