Poppy

***Poppy is now RESERVED, we are no longer accepting applications, thank you ***

Poppy is new to Homeless Hounds, this lucky girl has gone straight into a lovely foster home. This is what her foster daddy says about her:

Poppy is a young golden labrador and is approximately 1 year old. This is what her foster parents have to say about her after her first week with them.

She has recently been fostered by us. She knows basic commands, is very well behaved in the house, sits and waits for her food patiently and is completely toilet trained.

Poppy has a lovely temperament and is a happy, sunny girl. She loves to be with you. She can be bouncy and boisterous, and she is a large dog and strong. She is confident and has settled quickly with us in her new foster home and is a joy to be with. We have crated her at night with no issue and when we leave the house. She can be happily left for an hour and a half so far, but we are working on extending this.

Poppy needs an owner who can commit to continue her training with walking on the lead and who is physically strong. She is a fast learner and eager to please.  She has improved greatly since her arrival and is improving every day. She is very happy to meet other dogs but is boisterous and can be a bit overpowering. We feel that a home with cats would be problematic. She has displayed excitable interest in the garden when she has detected their smell. Being a Labrador, she does like to bark.

Poppy travels really well in the car and is great company. She loves her toys and playing fetch with a ball. She is a smashing girl.
