Rex

Rex is around 2 and a half years old and was rehomed about a year ago- he is now returning to us through no fault of his own. His owner is very reluctant to part with him but the demands of a full time job mean that Rex may not get the attention he deserves. This is what his owner has to say about him:

Rex is the definition of a big friendly giant, I’ve honestly never met a dog so loving before all he wants to do is cuddle up on the sofa. He’s living with a small old dog and a cat and he’s always been so gentle with them when playing.

Loves:
Cuddles
Naps
Walks
Balls (he really loves balls)
Water (except the bath but he will get in the bath just sits with a sulky face)

Dislikes:
Having no balls
Being made to move during a cuddle
Having to wait longer than his scheduled feeding time (he sulks like a toddler)

He can be left alone but needs something to keep him busy, toys, bones etc otherwise he will chew, it’s only usually things like his blankets etc he’s never chewed any furniture or anything. He knows all of the basic commands sit, lie down, paw and will do what he’s told but sometimes it takes him a minute because he’s so excitable.

Rex walks well on a lead but is strong so needs someone that will be able to control him when he does pull. He doesn’t bother with other dogs or get distracted by anything that we’ve come across which is good. He just needs someone who is physically capable, wants to give him unconditional love and will have the time to take him out and work on training.

Overall he’s just a big dopey, loving boy, he’s never shown any issues that are of concern, he’s just big and clumsy.
