Sage is a 2 year old staffy who is looking for a new home through no fault of her own. She came in to us with her companion, Storm, a male staffy and for a while they were sharing a kennel and looking for a home together.
However, they had a fall out in their kennel and we had to take the difficult decision to split them and they now seem to be benefitting from this.
Sage needs a home in a calm adult household where the owner has time to give her some good walks and training. She’s a lovely girl who would benefit from an active lifestyle and an owner who won’t leave her for too long.
Sage is a typical staffy who loves human attention and contact and gives typical staffy greetings – lots of licks and has no concept about personal space! Outside her kennel, Sage is playful and loves her toys and games.
In her previous home, her owner reported that Sage could be anxious particularly when there were visitors to the home. Therefore, any interested applicant must be prepared to carefully manage introducing her to any visitors to the home until she becomes more comfortable around them.
Outside on her walk, Sage would benefit from some lead training – she can be strong and pull on the lead at times and zigzag. However, Sage is very responsive to guidance from her walker and we are confident that her walking on the lead can be improved.
Sage is not reactive to other dogs whilst out on her walks.
