Sage and Storm are a 2 year old bonded pair of staffies who are looking for a new home through no fault of their own.
They are super dogs and in a calm adult household with good walks and training, they will make great companions.
Both are typical staffies who love human attention and contact and give typical staffy greetings – lots of licks and no concept about personal space! Outside their kennel, Sage is the more playful of the two whereas Storm is more interested in attention and cuddles!
In the home, Storm, the male appears to be the more confident of the two and Sage relies on him for reassurance. Storm appears to be fairly laid back in the home whilst Sage is the more anxious of the two. The previous owner told us that Sage would get very anxious when there were visitors to the home and we think Sage can be protective of Storm. Any interested applicant must be willing to carefully manage introducing them to any visitors to the home.
Outside on their walks, both dogs could benefit from some lead training – they can be strong and pull on their leads and zigzag. Sage is particularly responsive to guidance from her walker but neither appears to be particularly treat motivated. Neither are reactive to other dogs whilst out on their walks.
Outside on walks Storm doesn’t like to let Sage too far out of his sight! He will get vocal if his companion walks too far in front and leaves him behind or if Sage leaves her kennel in front of him. They both rely on each for confidence in their own ways so it would be great if we could find them a home together.
