Scooby is 8/9 years old and currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. He has thoroughly enjoyed sharing the sofa with 4 other dogs although he isn’t as keen to share his toys! He loves the attention from the teenage daughters and is happy to greet visitors to the home, after the initial bark. His fosterer says he is a really good dog in the home and has lived with cats previously.
Scooby loves a walk on the beach/prom, but can get over excited at the thought of leaving the home with the other dogs and may indulge in a spot of lead biting but he soon settles once on the walk. He walks well on his lead.
He is house-trained and can left alone for 3 to 4 hours.
Scooby is terrified of fireworks and can be nervous of sudden random sounds. When this happens, he may become anxious and need reassurance and a quite space to settle. With this is mind, Scooby will benefit from a home that understands noise sensitivity and is committed to ongoing positive-reinforcement training to help build his confidence. Continued work with desensitisation will help him make steady progress. We will provide more detailed information to any interested applicant.
An ideal home for Scooby would be:
A quiet home where he can establish his routine .
With someone willing to continue his training and confidence-building .
With someone who is prepared to manage Scooby’s reactions to fireworks and loud noises by providing safe spaces and support .
If you are someone who is ready to invest love, patience and training, Scooby will reward you with devotion and companionship. We are looking for a home with no children under 16 years old.

To adopt Scooby please complete an Adoption Application form and we will be in touch.
Please note that Homeless Hounds welcomes applications from Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under 5 years old.
