Ted is a 7 year old staffy cross who came to us after his owner died. Ted had been a much loved pet and his late owner’s family were devastated to have to give him up. Ted is cat friendly and has lived with a couple of cats without any issue at all. In fact, he was in awe of them and didn’t bother them at all.
Ted has to be the only dog in the house as we are told he doesn’t like other dogs. However, so far, on walks he has proved to be non reactive to other dogs, paying them very little attention. In addition, when outside his kennel in a run, he has paid no attention to the dog in the adjoining run and there has been no issues. However, we are continuing to assess Ted’s behaviour towards other dogs.
As is typical of his breed, he loves humans and attention. He likes being fussed and is a very obedient boy. He is used to children and as he is gentle boy, there have been no issues. We know that Ted is house trained and that he can be left for around 4 hours at a time without any issues. He is not destructive when left and is happy to play with his toys.
